Out of total 50 you need to get atleast 43 correct answers to pass your theory test. Each question will have 4 options and you need to chose correct option using mouse. For some questions you’ll need to select more than one answer – there’ll be a message if you don’t select enough answers. There are also case study questions: these will show you a short ‘story’ and you’ll need to answer five questions about it. One question will be presented on the screen at a time.

You can go back and review/change your answers anytime. If you aren’t sure about any of the questions, you can ‘flag’ them and come back to them later.

The Hazard Perception Test

Once you finished multiple choice part of the theory test, you have a choice to either start hazard perception test immediately or tae a three-minute break. You will also be given an option to watch a short video before you start the test, showing you how the test works.

In actual test there will be a series of videos and you’ll need to click the mouse as soon as you see a developing hazard. A potential hazard can be anything which needs the driver, to take some action such as braking, changing speed or direction etc. The sooner you spot the hazard and click mouse, the more points you’ll score but you can score up to five points for each hazard.

Each video will have one hazard apart from one film which will have two hazards. Out of total 75 marks, you need to score atleast 44 marks to pass your hazard perception part.

If you click the mouse too much or if you click in a pattern, you’ll be given a warning message and you’ll score no points for that film.
